ABOUT ME

Welcome! My name is Janee (juh-nay) Schrader, and I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I am pursuing a B.S. in mathematics with a research emphasis and a computer science minor. My research interests center around the captivating field of low-dimensional topology, with a specific focus on 3-manifolds and knot theory. I find immense fascination in exploring the intricate properties and interactions within these mathematical structures. Within this domain, I am particularly drawn to investigating combinatorial applications, aiming to uncover the underlying combinatorial structures and their relationships within the context of low-dimensional topology. Furthermore, I am keenly interested in number theory, specifically in studying various second-order linear recurrence sequences and their properties. Additionally, I find graph theory captivating as it allows me to explore the interplay between graphs and topological structures, and to examine how graph theoretic techniques can shed light on the properties of 3-manifolds and knot theory.
